Second screenshot of unannounced racer appears online.

A message notifying fans to expect information on the game today was posted by EA last night, alongside a second screenshot and the note "The Rivalry Begins".

'Rivalry'?

Could this year's NFS be linked to PSP racer Need For Speed: Underground Rivals? Given EA's decision to revise various Need For Speed sub-series in recent years, we wouldn't be too surprised.

Need For Speed 2013 is expected to be a cross-gen title in development at Ghost Games using Frostbite 3. Criterion is also expected to be assisting in development.

Expect more later today.
